So, February 16th at 2pm I'm going to be at one of my favourite places ready to sign copies of The Colour In Woman. Louisa, the dynamic and energetic owner of High Peak Bookstore has invited local authors for a book signing event, and yours truly is one of them. If you are in the Derbyshire area of the UK, fancy meeting authors, browsing books, and sampling some delicious eats and beverages, then come along! I would be thrilled to see you, chat, sign a copy of The Colour In Woman for you, and hear what you have to say about The Colour, fairy tales, books, favourite beverages, sci fi board games... so, come along!
If you've never visited this High Peak gem, here's a link:
Has it been THIS long? What on EARTH have I been doing? *scratches head* Hmm...the answer if coming to me as I type! Parenting. That takes up some hours, right? My children are clamouring round me as I type, asking all manner of questions, none of which are to do with my work. How unreasonable ;)
So. Yes. Parenting. Lots of that. Lots of energy work. Which is actually simply part of life, but at times the scales tip that way. Allotment work, or perhaps that should be called allotment grappling. It really is a jungle up there.
And, the final furlong of stay-at-home-mumdom. That's a biggie. Come September I'll be taking all my kidlets off to school, and it will be me, the Little Brown, and the story fairies.
I'm on edits for the Big Project, and swanning about happily in Fairy Flora world. This is all done in imagination time, with scrabbled moments here and there in front of my computer.
Life is busy. I'm grateful for all the magical portals.
I'm on the third and final part of my literary sci fi novel, The Dark Space Between. Light Space really is the section of the novel I've been so looking forward to writing, and when my little girl is napping, this is my favourite place to head off to. The awesome world of The Crystallines, the beautiful planet of Kunzite. It may take space and time, but I am enjoying the journey!
Readers! The very reason writers write! And today I am so super excited to share my first ever review with you!
was looking for the Amazon link to The Colour In Woman to share with someone, when I saw all these little golden stars... And I twigged - I have a review!
Someone has not only read The Colour In Woman, but they loved the experience and took the time to share this with other readers. As my first reviewer, I can't help but comment on you, and say, thank you a thousand times, dear reader. And of course, I am going to share your delicious words here...
"What a feast for the senses! You cannot rush reading this book, you submit to its rhythm and it takes you on a journey that'll stay with you for a long time. The story is gripping and has countless of layers... if you're so inclined you could analyse this story for hours - or simply enjoy the sensations it awakens. Utterly beautifully written."
Once upon a time and space, there weaved some beings amongst a quantum place...
I'm back at my desk when my little 'uns allow, and I'm excited to be working on the final part of my literary sci-fi novel, The Dark Space Between. I can't give a release date for this novel, but it is alive and well, and I can't wait to show you the Crystalline beings who travel to our planet on a soul mission!
And of course, in addition to this, I have other ideas trickling through. Flora from The Colour In Woman just won't leave me alone, and is insisting upon starring in a collection of fairy tales. This star gypsy hails from Venus, and loves going on cosmic travels in her Romany Merkabah. This collection is going to keep me entertained this year, and who knows? This may be another Solstice release :)
Happy 2017 and happy reading.
I am delighted that The Colour In Woman, my fiction baby after finishing academia, is ready for you on this Winter Solstice, 2016. This has been quite a year personally, globally, energetically, and it feels wonderful for me to mark the Winter Solstice in this uplifting way. The Colour In Woman was originally written a number of years ago, and the characters have waited patiently before coming out of their corners to be re-dressed and made fit for public viewing. All this time, they have carried on living their lives, and I know the red woman will be especially thrilled at getting out into society!
